Terms of service

These terms apply when you browse or buy from gatepack.co.za. Please read them, together with our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act).

1. About us

This store is operated by GatePack™, a proudly South African business. 2. Using our website

You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. You agree not to misuse the website or use it for any unlawful purpose.

3. Products

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Colours may look slightly different depending on your screen. If a product you receive does not match its description, you may return it as set out in our Refund Policy.

4. Prices

All prices are in South African rand (ZAR) and include all applicable taxes. Delivery is free on every order. Sale and Black Friday prices apply for the period shown on the website or while stock lasts. If a price is shown incorrectly because of an obvious error, we will contact you before your order is processed, and you may cancel for a full refund.

5. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is out of stock or there is a pricing error. If we cancel after you have paid, we refund you in full.

6. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Yoco, a South African payments provider. Your card details go directly to Yoco and are never stored by us.

7. Free gifts and promotions

Each Carry-On Backpack comes with one free keychain, and the Black Friday 2-Pack comes with two, while stock lasts. Free gifts have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and must be returned with the product if you return it. Promotions apply only for the period stated.

8. Delivery

Delivery is explained in our Shipping Policy.

9. Returns, cancellations and warranty

Your right to return products, cancel within the 7-day cooling-off period under section 44 of the ECT Act, and claim under the 6-month implied warranty of quality under section 56 of the CPA is explained in our Refund Policy.

10. Privacy

We process your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), as explained in our Privacy Policy.

11. Intellectual property

The GatePack™ name, logo, photos, text and design on this website belong to GatePack™ or its licensors and may not be copied or used without our written permission.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website. This does not exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the CPA or other South African law.

13. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If you have a complaint, please contact us first. You may also refer a complaint to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) or the National Consumer Commission.
